I engaged the services of MD Pro Movers to transport property from St.Augustine Florida to Maryland. The experience with them was simply HORRIBLE. The contract is quite long so read it carefully. There is no delivery time guarantee and unless you buy third party insurance their coverage is worthless.

They arrived four hours late and I am a single female who was made to feel very uncomfortable as nightfall was approaching.

They charged and additional $3500 when loading the truck stating that I was over the cubic feet allowed. They demanded payment by Zelle or PayPay and said that unless I paid immediately the would unload my goods and leave them in the parking lot. They were not forthcoming on where my property was located or when it would be shipped. In desperation I advised that I would fly to Hollywood and rent a trailer and have someone drive it home for me. They then again for the fifth time they advised it would be sent in a few days. I had an AirTag in my luggage so knew that the goods were some forty miles north of their office. Finally, they shipped the goods and upon arrival there were three broken lamps, one missing and a damaged desk that they taped up with duck tape. CAUTION: I WOULD GO ELSEWHERE

M & D Pro Movers through Deceit, Fraud and hostage tactics demanded $8,460 or $1,960 over the $6,500 Binding Moving Estimate and only picked up/shipped 75% of items. An itemized list with all sizes/dimensions was provided to movers prior to Binding Moving Estimate yet they underestimated volume by over 25%. I have been Overcharge $1,200 at the point of pick-up, Overcharged $800 at delivery and approximately 25-26% of items (based on cubic feet) to be shipped were not shipped. Many items delivered have been damaged and/or destroyed and components to assemble furniture are missing/lost. Movers guaranteed a non-shared truck that would pick up, transport and deliver items without unloading/reloading truck, yet once truck was loaded they transferred inventory to a different truck at a warehouse. Movers denied me the opportunity to purchase additional insurance coverage, damaged thousands of dollars of items (at replacement cost) and then informed me that any items they did not pack personally would not be eligible for damage claims. Movers informed me that the form labeled “Binding Moving Estimate” is not binding on them.

If you feel you really need to use them get them to sign and date "Binding Moving Estimate" before giving them a deposit. Make sure they do not use vague language, when they did me I was supposed to get a non-shared truck that would pick up, transport and deliver, never being unloaded or items transferred into a different truck. I allowed them to put in the "Binding Moving Estimate" "Same Truck/Not Shared", now they are trying to spin it and say the words only meant the truck used for pick up would not have anybody else's items. They drove from my house directly to a warehouse, unloaded the put it on a shared 18-wheeler.

Take your own inventory with all sizes, calculate your TOTAL cubic feet, then increase by about 25%. The cubic foot volume they use includes dead space on truck. It is not possible to load a truck using 100% of the truck space, if there is an inch or foot between truck ceiling or items on the truck it counts as the cubic space you use.

Demand they give you the increased insurance/valuation coverage. The 60 cents per pound will not cover even a small fraction of replacement cost. Every item they moved from my son's office was destroyed, every item except one from my living room was destroyed, fine China started the trip with 24 plates, only one plate not destroyed. Parts to assemble bedroom furniture missing, furniture not assembled.

When I originally got my estimate, they under cut the square foot, then charged me and additional $1000 to move just my couch even though it was included in the original estimate. The way I wrapped and boxed my property was not the way it was when it was delivered. My jewelry was broken and my jewelry box ram-sacked. My 65 inch tv and my 42 inch tv were both broken, and they were wrapped by Luis, in a blanket a piece of cardboard. Tape was also pulled back and broke on a a few of my boxes. Come to find out after I signed the paperwork when my belongings were picked up, Luis wrote over the original numbers. Luckily I took a picture of the paperwork since Luis would not give me a copy. I had to send the picture of the paperwork I signed to the delivery driver and Selene to show the numbers were not correct that I was being told I had to pay..

When I talked to Selene and tried explaining to her that I was underestimated for square footage and that I was not told there was a minimum fee of $650 (plus some additional fees), and that Eric who helped me with the estimate said all I had to do was pay the additional square footage that I use, Selene said that the sales team doesn’t know the fees. I tried explaining to Selene if I had known about the additional minimum fee, I would have requested to have additional square footage to make sure I did not go over what was estimated, however she would not listen. And to top that off after I read my contract for the third time, I told her it doesn’t say that there would be the additional minimum fee of $650, she said they can charge up to $2500 and it shows in the tariff which is not provided to customers when the contract is signed. She said that customers have to request a copy, which is crazy cause when you’re are signing the contract there is no information saying this or any indication of additional fees.i had to remind her that Luis would not give me a cop and so I don’t have the info she’s talking about.

It’s been almost a week and Selene still has not provided me the information I need to file a claim for my damaged property.

Hired D&A Transport to move from NY to DE, ‘sister’ company M&D Pro Movers LLC., would be there on Oct. 28. Sent in a comprehensive inventory of our 2800 sq ft NY home. We were told it was 1691 CuFt at a cost of $4750 as per the BINDING SALES AGREEMENT. They charged a $750 reservation fee. We were to pay $2000 on pick up in NY and $2000 on delivery in DE. The two movers arrived 5 hours late. Spent 7 hours loading the truck, told us that it was more than 1691 CuFt it would fill the entire truck. They were not expecting the unstackable items. No price change was given verbally or contractually. They were to be in DE by 10 am the next day. They showed up at 2:30, stated the price was $9356 to be paid in cash, cert check or PO check or they couldn’t take anything off the truck. Called David Rondon (President of D&A Transport) he stated that he doesn’t accept credit cards, debit or checks. Why did ¾ of the truck cost $4750. and the last ¼ cost 4606? They double charged the reservation fee. With the help of our daughter, we Venmoed the money to Rondon. The movers had to go back to NY to get the rest of our belongings because they underestimated BINDING SALES AGREEMENT. Foreman said that he can accurately estimate CuFt. He told Rondon that there was 1200 CuFt left in NY. Rondon said he would give us a huge discount charging $2500 for the second trip. When they got to NY, Foreman said that it was going to take the whole truck for another $9000. We told him to fill up to the 1200 cu ft mark. He wanted payment in full at that time. My other daughter Venmoed Rondon. Furniture was scratched, scuffed, broken, China closet glass broken. Items left in garage and not set up as contractually agreed. Countless calls and emails to Rondon went unanswered. e had to finally ask for a copy of the bill after the second trip to Delaware. W THESE GUYS ARE SCAMMERS AND USED THE OLD BAIT AND SWITCH TO KEEP FURNITURE HOSTAGE AND TRIPLE THE AGREED UPON COST FOR A TOTAL OF $11356! Still have not received any reimbursement or satisfaction caused by this nightmare company.

This company was hired to move my things from FL to MD. They put my belongings in an extremely hot warehouse for 30+ days to where my candles melted and fragrance spray bottles expanded. There was zero communication or weekly updates. Once they pickup your furniture you will not hear from them! They destroyed/cracked my tv screen, broke/cracked my tall floor mirror, and broke my candles/vases. They personally wrapped my tv and mirror but STILL broke them. Don’t waste your time with this company…RUN!!!

I would love to give them negative stars. They were absolutely horrible.

They arrived almost two hours after the given window to pick up my stuff. After 3 hours, when they were done loading everything onto the truck, the movers told me my stuff was taking up a little more space and it would be a little more than I was quoted. I was originally quoted $1600, but my new rate was $2500. The next day I paid half of that in order to be put on the schedule and was told I would be put on the schedule the next day. They picked up my stuff ten days before I moved in order for me to receive my things close to the day I moved. I called everyday asking for an update and would just be told "I'll know more by the end of the day", it was an endless cycle. I did not actually get put on the schedule until almost two weeks later. So I was just living in my new empty apartment, hoping this company would deliver my belongings, but seriously questioning that because of the horrible communication. The lady in the office would tell me she would call me later with an update and I would hear nothing, and if I called and questioned things, I got an attitude and no help.

I was told my stuff would finally be delivered three weeks after they picked it all up. The moving truck gets to my new place and I'm made to pay the rest of my balance in full before the movers will start unloading everything. Then, it turns out that only half of my belongings were on this truck and the rest would be delivered "soon." The rest of the stuff got there three days later, and I had to pay an additional fee for them to unload my belongings. Almost all of my boxes were crushed, my full length mirror was broken, my shoe rack was broken, and they lost all of the support beams to my bed. I submitted a claim over a month ago with them and have yet to hear back.

This company is a nightmare. The lady in the office is so rude and unwilling to help. Please don't give them your business. You will regret it.

I’m experiencing the same thing. These ppl are horrible and they are a scam! AVOID at all costs! DO NOT use this service. I researched moving companies and they had no bad reviews & the guy who called me Paul was very nice and professional. Don’t be fooled. The price they send you is bait and switch. ANd if you sign up with them you will end up paying double due to them underestimating your inventory. Then, they’ll sign you up with a sub par moving company that acts like the mob. Horrible customer service and no communication. They lie about delivery timelines and You’re better off moving yourself or paying to have a reputable company move you. I have paid for my things, double the price I was quoted. I owe more if/when my things are delivered and it’s been 3 weeks. The broker and the actual moving company can’t tell me when I’ll receive my possessions not to mention, all my items are sitting in a one star storage unit that I didn’t agree to store them at. BEWARE & AVOID at all costs!
